Sheboygan Proposes Sale of 58.1 Acres to Amazon for Logistics Facility

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

The Sheboygan Finance and Personnel Committee will vote on January 12 regarding the sale of 58.1 acres in the SouthPointe Enterprise Campus to Amazon.com Services LLC for a logistics facility, with a proposed price of approximately $2.03 million. The land, located at the southern end of the business park, includes two parcels on either side of South Taylor Drive, south of Stahl Road.

An easement agreement will be required for a detention pond near South Business Drive, which Amazon can use for stormwater discharge while the city maintains it. Additionally, South Taylor Drive between the two parcels will be vacated and transferred to Amazon. While community speculation suggested the project might be a data center, city officials have denied this claim.
