Shi Holding Transfers 250 MW BESS Projects in Southern Italy to Reden Echo

ENERGY STORAGE

Shi Holding has sold a portfolio of standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) with a total capacity of about 250 MW in Southern Italy to Reden Echo, a subsidiary of the French Reden group. This acquisition supports Italy's goal of achieving a national storage capacity of 7 to 12 GW by 2030.

The deal was structured by Green Horse Financial, and DLA Piper assisted Reden with contract negotiations. This move enables Reden to strengthen its presence in the Italian energy market and contribute to a more sustainable energy mix. The new BESS installations will enhance grid resilience and support the transition to renewable energy sources.
