Shi Holding Transfers 250 MW BESS Projects in Southern Italy to Reden Echo
Shi Holding, led by CEO Francesco Angeloro, has sold a portfolio of standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) totaling approximately 250 MW in Southern Italy to Reden Echo, part of the French Reden group. This acquisition marks Reden's entry into the Italian large-scale storage market, aiming to support Italy's national storage capacity goals of 7 to 12 GW by 2030. Green Horse Financial facilitated the deal, while DLA Piper assisted Reden in contract negotiations.

Shi Holding has sold a portfolio of standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) with a total capacity of about 250 MW in Southern Italy to Reden Echo, a subsidiary of the French Reden group. This acquisition supports Italy's goal of achieving a national storage capacity of 7 to 12 GW by 2030.
The deal was structured by Green Horse Financial, and DLA Piper assisted Reden with contract negotiations. This move enables Reden to strengthen its presence in the Italian energy market and contribute to a more sustainable energy mix. The new BESS installations will enhance grid resilience and support the transition to renewable energy sources.
