Siemens and Rittal Form Strategic Partnership for Future Data Center Infrastructure
Siemens and Rittal have established a strategic partnership to develop sustainable energy distribution solutions for data centers, addressing the rising power densities driven by AI applications. The initiative aims to accelerate the construction of high-performance data centers and improve time-to-compute. Key projects include a next-generation 'Sidecar' application for scalable power supply and standard low-voltage distribution for modular data centers, with initial customer projects already underway.

Siemens and Rittal have formed a strategic partnership to create efficient energy distribution solutions for data centers in the IEC market. The partnership focuses on addressing the increasing power densities for AI applications, which currently exceed 100 kW per rack and may rise above 1 MW by 2030.
Among the initial developments is a 'Sidecar' application, allowing for standardized power supply directly within data center white spaces. This collaboration also includes developing standardized low-voltage distribution for modular data centers and enhanced operational safety solutions. Initial projects are already in progress, leveraging Siemens' components and Rittal's power distribution platforms.
