Siemens Energy Expands Competence Hub Americas in Queretaro, Mexico

Siemens Energy has expanded its Competence Hub Americas in Queretaro, Mexico, marking a significant step in positioning the country as a regional center for high-value engineering and digitalization related to the energy transition. The hub aims to employ around 750 people by 2026 and 1,000 by 2028, thereby consolidating Mexico's role as a global talent and innovation center.

The project, led by local authorities, emphasizes engineering, automation, and digital technologies while addressing the talent gap in the energy sector. Approximately 80% of the workforce is Mexican, with 90% engaged in global projects.

The expansion also highlights Siemens' commitment to gender diversity, with nearly 40% of collaborators being women. The hub will support hands-on training in digital technologies, crucial as Mexico's data center market grows.
