Siket Bank has partnered with the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) to modernize warehouse receipt lending, facilitating better access to credit for farmers and traders. This strategic alliance aims to improve agricultural trading efficiency through a direct electronic integration of data centers.

Siket Bank and the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) have established a partnership to enhance agricultural commodity trading and expand credit access. This collaboration includes the integration of ECX's Data Center with Siket Bank's data gateway, streamlining financial settlements.
Siket Bank will accept electronic warehouse receipts as loan collateral, facilitating access to working capital for producers and traders. The ECX has previously facilitated 1.74 billion Birr in loans to product owners, and the inclusion of Siket Bank is expected to increase this figure.
Additionally, the ECX has traded 96,423 metric tons of commodities worth 38.3 billion Birr between April 2025 and June 2026 without defaults. Siket Bank's rapid asset growth positions it to compete effectively in export financing.
