Sinar Mas Land and G42 Partner to Develop Indonesia's First Smart City in BSD City
Sinar Mas Land and G42 signed a memorandum of understanding to develop BSD City into Indonesia's first smart city. This initiative aims to leverage AI and cloud computing technologies to enhance urban living and services.

Sinar Mas Land and Abu Dhabi-based G42 have formalized a partnership to develop BSD City into a smart digital city, with a focus on AI and cloud computing technologies. The memorandum of understanding was signed in Dubai on November 1, attended by key executives including Michael Widjaja and Peng Xiao.
The collaboration aims to implement a smart city and smart campus platform, enhancing services in security, payments, education, and healthcare. This endeavor positions BSD City as a model for smart city development in East Kalimantan, potentially establishing it as Indonesia's equivalent to Silicon Valley. Additionally, Sinar Mas Group is collaborating with Smartfren to develop a data center with a capacity of 1,000 MW in Indonesia, indicating an ongoing commitment to infrastructure enhancement.
