Sindh Government Approves Rs 5 Billion for Karachi Wastewater Treatment Projects
The Sindh government has allocated Rs 5 billion for wastewater treatment and recycling in Karachi, aiming for improvements by year-end. An interim target of treating 30-35 million gallons per day (MGD) is set for June 30, with full capacity of 100 MGD planned for December 31. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah emphasized the urgency of wastewater management, with tangible results expected by 2025. The TP-4 project is highlighted as crucial, with actions being taken under a public-private partnership model.
