Singapore Achieves Record Port Performance in 2025 with Digital Bunkering Adoption
In 2025, Singapore's port achieved record performance with 3.22 billion gross tonnage and 44.66 million TEUs, marking increases of 3.5% and 8.6% from the previous year. The adoption of digital bunkering by all suppliers in August contributed to marine fuel sales reaching 56.77 million tonnes, while the Maritime and Port Authority announced plans for new LNG bunker supply licenses and upgraded standards in early 2026. Recognized as the world's second largest container port, Singapore also established two new Green and Digital Shipping Corridors.

Singapore's port achieved record performance in 2025 with 3.22 billion gross tonnage and 44.66 million TEUs, reflecting increases of 3.5% and 8.6% from 2024. Marine fuel sales reached 56.77 million tonnes, up 3.4%, with alternative fuels at 1.95 million tonnes.
Digital bunkering was fully adopted by all suppliers in August 2025. In January 2026, the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) opened applications for new LNG bunker supply licenses and plans to upgrade LNG bunkering standards by Q2 2026.
Singapore also established two new Green and Digital Shipping Corridors and appointed a consortium for ammonia power generation studies. The port is recognized as the world's second largest container port and the top bunkering port.
