SiriNor Plans UAV Test Flight in India by Mid-2026 for Zero-Emission Electric Jet Engine
HYDROGENFUEL CELL
SiriNor, a deep-tech aerospace startup from India and Norway, announced its roadmap at the Global CleanTech Forum in Davos, targeting a qualifying UAV retrofit test flight in India by mid-to-late 2026. The company is developing the world’s first emission-free electric jet engine, designed to be operable on current battery technology and compatible with hydrogen fuel cells.
SiriNor's patented tip-driven propulsion architecture aims to reduce manufacturing costs by at least 30%. The startup is backed by investors including Shell E4 and Innovation Norway, with plans to commercialize UAV engines by mid-2026 and scale towards regional aircraft platforms by 2030.
