SJC and Mishawaka Sign MOU for Water and Sewage System Upgrades Linked to Microsoft Data Center
The St. Joseph County Redevelopment Commission has passed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Mishawaka for water and sanitary sewer upgrades, which will be integrated into a broader agreement involving Microsoft’s new data center.

The St. Joseph County Redevelopment Commission has unanimously approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mishawaka for upgrades to water and sanitary sewer systems. This MOU is part of a larger agreement that includes Microsoft for a new data center.
Under this arrangement, Mishawaka will define the utility work required, while St. Joseph County will construct the infrastructure and subsequently transfer ownership back to Mishawaka. This ownership change is necessary as Mishawaka will extend its water utilities to the data center in Granger, outside its city limits.
