SK Innovation has approved a $380 million investment in AI Co., a U.S. subsidiary of SK hynix, aimed at exploring opportunities in AI energy infrastructure. The investment will be conducted through capital calls over a four-year period until March 1, 2030.
SK hynix established AI Co. to support the AI data center ecosystem and advance computing infrastructure in the U.S. and South Korea. The restructuring of SK hynix's NAND Product Solutions into AI Co. is part of a broader strategy to capitalize on the growth of AI technologies, with SK hynix also committing $10 billion to the venture.
