SkyDrive Advances eVTOL Plans at Osaka Expo 2025 Roundtable
SkyDrive has outlined plans for the commercial launch of eVTOL aircraft in Japan beginning next year, aiming for 100 aircraft by 2035. This initiative is supported by a revised roadmap from Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and aims to establish Osaka as a leader in urban air mobility.

SkyDrive revealed its timeline for the commercialization of eVTOL aircraft in Japan, with operations expected to start as early as next year. The recent meeting of the FY2025 Osaka Roundtable emphasized the development of the OSAKAKO Vertiport into a fully operational hub.
Osaka Prefecture's Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura stressed the importance of public-private collaboration to promote Osaka as a 'Flying Car Advanced City.' Additionally, the Kansai Economic Federation presented its vision for regional expansion through urban air mobility. SkyDrive is committed to collaborating with governmental bodies and partners to accelerate projects like the 'Osaka Diamond Route' and ensure aircraft type certification.
