Slingshot Aerospace has been awarded a $27 million contract to modernize Space Force training over the next 18 months. The project involves the use of Slingshot's TALOS AI to simulate adversarial actions in orbital warfare training scenarios.

TALOS, launched in July 2025, is designed to adapt dynamically to trainees' actions, utilizing a vast library of real-world orbital data to create realistic training environments. This contract builds on a previous $25 million funding initiative from 2022, which allowed testing of TALOS capabilities.

The project aims to integrate various simulation tools into a unified training platform for Space Force Guardians, enhancing their preparedness for real-world threats. Slingshot's AI solution will provide a sophisticated adversary simulation, enabling more effective training scenarios in the operational test and training infrastructure.
