ELECTROLYZERENERGY STORAGEHYDROGEN

The Slovenian Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has received €18 million in EU funding for hydrogen development. This funding aims to enhance the European hydrogen value chain by building hydrogen production capacities and transport infrastructure, while also promoting hydrogen use in industry and transport.

It supports Slovenia's decarbonisation efforts and aligns with the European Green Deal goals. The projects are part of the Hy2Tech and Hy2Use Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI), focusing on hydrogen technology and infrastructure.

The funding will facilitate the development of large-scale electrolysers and energy storage solutions, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and contributing to a cleaner environment. The Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport will implement the call for proposals, with eligible expenditures until 31 October 2029.
