Smackover Lithium Awards EPCM Contract for Arkansas Lithium Project
Smackover Lithium has awarded an EPCM contract to Wood Group USA for the South West Arkansas Project, set to produce 22,500 tonnes of lithium carbonate annually. The project is a strategic initiative to enhance the U.S. lithium supply chain ahead of a Final Investment Decision expected in 2026.

Smackover Lithium has formalized an EPCM contract with Wood Group USA for the upstream well field of the South West Arkansas Project. This agreement includes the construction of four well pads, twelve supply wells, and ten injection wells, alongside necessary pipelines.
The project aims to produce 22,500 tonnes per year of battery-quality lithium carbonate. A separate EPCC agreement for the Central Processing Facility is anticipated by the second quarter of 2026, following a positive Final Investment Decision.
The Limited Notice to Proceed allows for early engineering and procurement activities to mitigate risks and optimize the construction timeline. Engaging Wood for full project execution will depend on the forthcoming investment decision.
