Smoltek Secures 6 Million SEK Loan to Boost Nanotechnology Commercialization Efforts
Smoltek Nanotech Holding has obtained a loan of 6 million SEK aimed at strengthening its working capital and liquidity. This loan, composed of seven bilateral agreements with different lenders, including chairman Oskar Säfström and CEO Magnus Andersson, will support both short-term capital needs and long-term financing.
As of February 11, 2026, Smoltek announced new NDAs with potential partners in the semiconductor and advanced electronics sectors, alongside ongoing testing and optimization of its Gen-One capacitor. Initial production capacity has been established through new ALD equipment and a collaboration with ITRI in Taiwan for low-volume production of capacitors.
The technology is identified as suitable for RF and optoelectronics, with future applications in power supply for data centers and AI infrastructure. Development is also ongoing in the hydrogen sector, focusing on PTE electrodes and electrolyzers in partnership with German Heraeus.
