SolarFlex Croatia Conference to Highlight Storage Solutions for Grid Flexibility
The SolarFlex Croatia conference on 17 March in Zagreb will unveil a study on the significance of storage solutions in enhancing grid flexibility for renewable energy. With the rapid expansion of renewables in Croatia, grid connections for new installations pose challenges.
Storage solutions are essential for integrating electricity from smaller plants, especially solar parks, by managing feed-in peaks. The study, conducted by Renewable Energy Sources Croatia (OIEH) and SolarPower Europe, serves as a foundation for strategic grid development and investment in energy storage, emphasizing the need for further integration of renewable sources. Croatia is expected to add close to 500 MW of solar capacity by 2025.
