SolarMax Technology Secures $158 Million EPC Contracts for 400 MWh Battery Storage in Puerto Rico
SolarMax Technology, Inc. has secured two EPC contracts worth approximately $158.3 million for utility-scale battery storage projects in Humacao and Ceiba Municipality, Puerto Rico, totaling 400 MWh of capacity. The company will provide comprehensive services to enhance grid stability and energy affordability, while also acquiring a 9% equity interest in each project entity.

SolarMax Technology, Inc. has secured two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for utility-scale battery energy storage system projects in Humacao and Ceiba Municipality, Puerto Rico. The contracts with Yabucoa BESS LLC and Naguabo BESS LLC are projected to generate approximately $158.3 million in revenue.
SolarMax will provide comprehensive EPC services, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning for a total capacity of 400 megawatt-hours (MWh). The projects aim to enhance grid stability and energy affordability by storing renewable electricity for peak demand periods. SolarMax is also acquiring a 9% equity interest in each project entity, indicating its commitment to the long-term success of these energy storage solutions.
