Soluna Gains Full Control of Dorothy Campus for AI Data Center Expansion
Soluna Holdings has acquired full ownership of Project Dorothy 1B in Texas for $8.8 million, enhancing its AI data center strategy. This consolidation allows the company to streamline its renewable energy and computing capabilities, crucial for meeting rising AI workload demands.

Soluna Holdings has completed the acquisition of the remaining 49% equity in Project Dorothy 1B from Navitas Global for approximately $8.8 million, achieving complete ownership of both Dorothy 1A and 1B. This strategic move is part of Soluna's goal to advance its infrastructure for AI and high-performance computing, reflecting broader trends in the data center industry where operators seek control over renewable generation assets.
The company’s development pipeline now exceeds 4.3 gigawatts, with over 1 gigawatt in various stages of development. This acquisition enhances operational flexibility and positions the upcoming Dorothy 3 as a dedicated AI-ready platform, amidst increasing competition for scalable and cost-effective electricity in the AI sector.
