Somerset Minerals Discovers Native Copper Nugget at Coppermine Project
Somerset Minerals has discovered a 2.3-kilogram native copper nugget at the Coppermine project in Canada, alongside significant copper anomalies. The company aims to convert a 17 km copper anomaly at Talisker into drill targets, vital for advancing exploration efforts.

Somerset Minerals (ASX:SMM) has identified a 2.3-kilogram copper nugget during its 2026 exploration program at the Coppermine project in Canada. The company is focusing on the Talisker target, where a 17 km copper anomaly has been established, with plans to drill in July.
Infill soil sampling has confirmed mineralization across 14 km, and nearby Jura targets exhibit potential for development into a standalone copper district. The RC drill rig is on site, with mobilization scheduled for July 2, indicating an active exploration phase ahead. The growing evidence of multiple mineralized zones could enhance Somerset's strategic position in the copper market.
