Sosteneo Gains Full Ownership of 151MW Mineo Solar Project in Sicily
Sosteneo has completed the acquisition of the 151MW Mineo solar project in Sicily, supported by Italy's FER-X scheme. This project will have 70% of its output backed by a Contract for Difference (CfD), ensuring revenue stability. The transaction builds upon a partnership with European Energy established in 2023. Additionally, Sosteneo acquired the 68MW Ramacca solar plant in September 2023 and is exploring solar-battery storage strategies.

Sosteneo has secured full ownership of the 151MW Mineo solar project in Sicily, which operates under Italy's FER-X scheme. Seventy percent of the project's output will be supported by a Contract for Difference (CfD), providing long-term revenue visibility and reducing risks associated with curtailment and negative pricing.
This acquisition strengthens Sosteneo's solar portfolio in southern Italy and follows the acquisition of the 68MW Ramacca solar plant from European Energy in September 2023. The company is also pursuing strategies to integrate solar energy with battery storage.
