At Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa emphasized green hydrogen as a key opportunity for Africa's energy future, discussing the continent's advantages in renewable resources with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Concurrently, the Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Energy Association in the US highlighted new tax-benefit structures for hydrogen expansion.
In Florida, Duke Energy showcased green hydrogen production, while Plug Power signed a letter of intent for a 5 MW PEM electrolyzer at Hy2gen's facility in France. Toyota Motor North America invested in First Element Fuel to enhance hydrogen fueling infrastructure in California.
Other developments include a hydrogen-powered train in India, a zero-emission train in Germany, a green hydrogen project in Norway, and a 100 MW project in Egypt exporting to Europe and the US.
