Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Yun-duk will lead a U.S. project support team from December 5 to 9 to facilitate South Korean companies' participation in infrastructure projects in the U.S. The team will attend a commemorative event for the Indiana Eco-friendly Ammonia Plant Project, a collaboration between South Korean firms and U.S. policy finance aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions by producing low-carbon ammonia.

In 2022, South Korean construction orders in the U.S. reached $5.15 billion. Minister Kim will meet with U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy James Patrick Dunlea to discuss infrastructure cooperation and financial collaboration.

He will also attend CES 2026 in Las Vegas to explore AI and ICT technologies, visit key company booths, and review R&D at Stanford University and Google Waymo. On December 9, he will inspect the aircraft runway overrun prevention system at San Francisco International Airport with U.S. transportation officials.
