Southern Palladium has appointed Mark Humphery as Project Manager for its Bengwenyama Project in South Africa, a key step as the project moves toward full-scale development. Humphery, with over 28 years of mining experience, will focus on advancing the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and coordinating development activities on-site near Steelpoort.
His role includes collaborating with exploration manager Uwe Engelmann on drilling to confirm geotechnical parameters for access to the orebody. The Bengwenyama community holds a 30% stake in the project, indicating strong local engagement.
Regulatory approval for the Bengwenyama Mining Right is pending, which is critical for project advancement. This appointment and ongoing recruitment for additional team members position Southern Palladium for effective execution in the platinum sector.
