Space Commerce Way on Merritt Island has been officially renamed State Road (S.R.) 321, reflecting its significance to the space industry in Brevard County. This change comes after construction improvements that completed 100 days ahead of schedule, expanding the 2.7-mile road from two to four lanes.

The enhancements aim to accommodate increasing traffic demands from aerospace activities, including a record 109 launches last year. S.R. 321 connects S.R. 405 to S.R. 3 and is located near the Kennedy Space Center, Exploration Park, and Blue Origin facilities. The upgrades are designed to facilitate the transport of heavy loads essential for the region's aerospace sector, which supports over 150,000 jobs statewide.
