The U.S. Space Force awarded L3Harris Technologies a $62.7 million order for the maintenance and upgrade of three integrated space surveillance sensors. These systems include the AN/FPS-85 Eglin Radar, which tracks objects up to 22,000 nautical miles above Earth and handles 30% of the Space Surveillance Network's workload; the GEODSS telescopes for all-weather tracking; and the SST for detecting deep-space debris. The contract, now totaling $1.5 billion, is expected to be completed by January 2027.
