SpaceX Falcon 9 Launch Creates 'Jellyfish Clouds' in Florida
SPACE ECONOMY
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 5:52 a.m. ET, creating distinctive noctilucent clouds in the Tampa Bay area. These 'jellyfish clouds' are luminous ice clouds formed in the upper mesosphere, often resulting from water vapor condensing around dust from meteorites and rocket launches.
The launch successfully deployed 29 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit. Following stage separation, the first stage booster landed on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship in the Atlantic Ocean, marking the 25th flight for this booster.
