SpaceX Reports Q2 Revenue Growth Amid Stock Decline Post-IPO
SpaceX's Q2 revenue reached $7.8 billion, a 92% year-over-year increase, with a net loss reduced to $541 million. Despite strong financial results, the company's stock fell approximately 7% after hours, raising concerns about sustainability amidst heavy investments in AI and Starship operations.

In Q2, SpaceX achieved $7.8 billion in revenue, marking a 92% increase year-over-year, while net losses were reduced to $541 million. The company has reported a tripling of AI revenue to $2.6 billion, driven by data center leasing contracts, which are expected to cover operational costs.
SpaceX secured $6.7 billion in new data leasing contracts since July and anticipates ongoing expenses of $18.4 billion over the next two quarters. Starlink remains the most profitable segment, generating $4.3 billion with 12 million subscribers.
However, core rocket launches contributed less than 10% to quarterly revenue and incurred losses. Investors are concerned about whether Starlink's revenue can sustain the high costs of AI and Starship projects.
