Spain Launches €400 Million Action Plan for Critical Mineral Exploration (2026-2030)
The Spanish government has approved a €400 million Action Plan for Critical Minerals for 2026-2030, aimed at enhancing national and European autonomy in critical materials through exploration and recycling. The plan, the first of its kind in over fifty years, will focus on minerals such as lithium, nickel, and cobalt, addressing the EU's dependency on external sources. It includes a National Mining Exploration Program and advanced analysis of existing mineral data and waste facilities.
