Spiral Hydrogen Secures €2.7M for Green Hydrogen Technology Development
Spiral Hydrogen has raised €2.7 million to advance its bubble-free green hydrogen technology, transitioning to pilot deployment at the Port of Rotterdam. This project aims to enhance efficiency in hydrogen production, making it competitive with fossil fuels and promoting decarbonisation across several industries.

Spiral Hydrogen is advancing its bubble-free green hydrogen technology with €2.7 million in funding, aiming for pilot deployment within two years at the Port of Rotterdam. The pilot electrolyser, built in collaboration with SwitcH2, will operate under real industrial conditions to inform the design of a commercial system.
The company's alkaline-based electrolyzers improve efficiency up to 95% and eliminate gas bubbles, contributing to reduced capital and operating costs. This approach targets applications in refining, fertilisers, steel production, and heavy transport, facilitating the transition to cost-competitive green hydrogen.
