Sponsors Fund Irish Pavilion at MIPIM, Gain Access to Housing Minister
Private sponsors contributed over €300,000 to Ireland's pavilion at MIPIM, gaining exclusive access to Housing Minister James Browne. This event highlights the intersection of private interests and government discussions in the housing sector, raising transparency concerns.

Private sponsors funded over €300,000 for Ireland's pavilion at the Marché International des Professionnels de l'Immobilier (MIPIM) in Cannes. Six 'platinum' sponsors, including Ardstone and Bank of Ireland, and six 'gold' sponsors, such as IRES-REIT and Kennedy Wilson, provided financial support.
Minister James Browne hosted a VIP chat titled 'Ireland: Where Opportunity Meets Ambition,' discussing the housing market and investment landscape. The Department of Housing has declined to disclose the total budget, citing commercial sensitivities.
More than 30 state employees attended, raising potential taxpayer costs significantly beyond initial estimates. This collaboration between public and private sectors could influence housing policy.
