Springdale to Initiate Community Benefits Agreement Discussions for Data Center Development
Springdale borough plans to begin discussions on a community benefits agreement (CBA) with data center developers, assisted by Friends of the Riverfront. This initiative follows the conditional use approval granted in December, which mandates a CBA. Funded by a $100,000 grant from the Heinz Family Foundation, the project aims to address local community interests. Public meetings and surveys are expected to start in March 2026, with completion anticipated by early 2027.

Springdale borough will soon begin discussions with developers to establish a community benefits agreement (CBA) for a proposed data center. This follows the conditional use approval from December, which requires the CBA.
Friends of the Riverfront will assist in this process, funded by a $100,000 grant from the Heinz Family Foundation. Public engagement activities, including meetings and surveys, are set to begin in March 2026.
The CBA process aims to ensure community interests are prioritized, with completion expected by early 2027. Developers will also need to present detailed land development plans to the borough council and planning commission.
