St. Tammany Unveils $3M Lift Station as Part of $20M Wastewater Consolidation Project
A new $2.89 million lift station in St. Tammany Parish will enhance sewage treatment capacity and efficiency as part of a $20 million consolidation plan. This initiative, funded by federal and state resources, aims to decommission seven smaller plants and improve environmental outcomes for approximately 6,400 residents.

St. Tammany Parish has launched a $2.89 million lift station, crucial for a $20 million wastewater consolidation initiative. This facility will consolidate wastewater from multiple neighborhoods, enhancing service for around 5,000 residents by channeling waste to the West St.
Tammany Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is designed to replace seven smaller treatment plants, thereby improving operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact. Completion of the broader consolidation project is expected by the end of the year.
This investment aligns with over $100 million allocated for infrastructure improvements since the current administration began. Risks include potential delays in project completion that might affect service reliability.
