Stantec Leads AI Initiative in Wastewater Treatment with WSSC Water and Prince William Water
Stantec is spearheading a 31-month project funded by the Water Research Foundation, WSSC Water, and Prince William Water to implement artificial intelligence in wastewater treatment operations. The project aims to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency, utilizing AI systems from EAOS. The initiative introduces digital tools called 'Intelligent Assets' to modernize infrastructure at WSSC Water and Prince William Water facilities, with plans to share findings with U.S. utilities.

The project will utilize AI systems from EAOS to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
It introduces 'Intelligent Assets' to help modernize utility infrastructure with minimal disruption. The tools will be implemented at WSSC Water's Piscataway Water Resource Recovery Facility and Prince William Water's H.L.
Mooney Advanced Water Reclamation Facility. The project will also produce a WRF research report and a Utility AI Implementation Playbook for U.S. utilities.
