Starcloud announced plans to deploy Amazon Web Services (AWS) Outposts in space, alongside a proposed constellation of 88,000 satellites. The first satellite, featuring AWS hardware, is scheduled for launch in October 2026.
The constellation aims to enhance AI training and cloud computing, leveraging space advantages like solar power and cooling. Starcloud previously collaborated with Google and Nvidia for satellite tests. This announcement follows similar efforts by SpaceX and Amazon in developing low Earth orbit satellites for data centers.
