Steiermark Delegation Expands Partnerships in China
The recent delegation from Steiermark, Austria, successfully signed multiple partnership agreements in China, enhancing bilateral cooperation. This mission highlights the region's focus on leveraging opportunities in data technology and environmental innovation.

The Steiermark delegation, led by Governor Mario Kunasek, has secured its fourth partnership agreement with China in Guangdong province, home to over 120 million residents. Notably, the deal with Xpeng for a new vehicle model to be produced in Graz marks a significant achievement.
The delegation also renewed a cooperation agreement in Guishzou and visited a Big Data center in Guiyang, emphasizing the region's commitment to technological collaboration. Vice Governor Manuela Khom noted the need for increased speed in project approvals to maintain competitive advantage.
Potential projects include autonomous minibuses for rural areas and collaborations in renewable energy. The Internationalization Center Styria aims to connect key players from both regions to foster further development.
