Steve Durst, an influential US space entrepreneur and founder of the International Lunar Observatory Association (ILOA), died at the age of 82. He dedicated decades to building connections with China's space sector, starting his work on Chinese astronaut training in 1980.
Durst passed away at his home in California after recently attending a workshop in Chiang Mai, Thailand. His contributions to international space collaboration were significant, especially in establishing partnerships with China during a time when such initiatives faced many challenges.
