STIF Signs €25 Million Contract Renewal with Tesla for Battery Energy Storage Systems
STIF, a leader in battery energy storage systems, has renewed a €25 million contract with Tesla for 2026, doubling the previous agreement. Christophe Canal, STIF's CFO, emphasized the importance of this partnership, citing Tesla's status as a top innovator in the industry despite concerns over Elon Musk's reputation. He noted that Tesla's expansion includes a new BESS manufacturing facility in Texas, highlighting the U.S. market's diverse energy policies.

STIF, a global leader in battery energy storage systems, has renewed a significant contract with Tesla, amounting to €25 million for 2026, which is twice the value of their previous agreement in 2024. CFO Christophe Canal stated the importance of collaborating with Tesla, given its leading position in the BESS market.
The partnership is expected to yield high profit margins. Tesla, which already operates in Florida and Shanghai, is set to establish a new BESS manufacturing facility in Texas. Canal remarked on the diverse energy policies across U.S. states, indicating that the development of intermittent energy sources continues beyond political considerations.
