STMicroelectronics has expanded its strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services in a multi-year agreement valued at billions of dollars. ST will supply advanced semiconductor technologies to AWS, enhancing its computing infrastructure for high-performance tasks.
The agreement includes the issuance of warrants allowing AWS to purchase up to 24.8 million ST shares at an initial price of $28.38, exercisable over seven years. Analysts suggest that AWS's initial contributions could begin in 2026, potentially reaching hundreds of millions of dollars annually. Following the announcement, ST's shares rose by over 8% in early trading.
