Stoen Operator Plans High-Voltage Line Construction to Meet Warsaw's Growing Energy Demand
Stoen Operator is set to enhance Warsaw's energy infrastructure by constructing high-voltage lines to meet increasing demand driven by population growth and new developments. The project will focus on underground solutions for urban areas to minimize disruption and maintain aesthetic appeal, while also considering upgrades to existing overhead lines. The company aims to foster positive community relations throughout the construction process.

Stoen Operator is implementing a long-term strategy to enhance its energy infrastructure in Warsaw, responding to rising energy demand due to population growth, electric transport development, and new data centers. The high-voltage network, essential for transmitting electricity over long distances with minimal losses, operates at voltages of 400 kV and 220 kV, and reduces power to 110 kV at transformer stations.
The company plans to construct high-voltage lines, primarily at 110 kV, in urban areas, often opting for underground solutions for aesthetic and safety reasons. Upgrades to existing overhead lines will also be considered. The operator aims to maintain good relations with local communities during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption and restoring sites post-work.
