Storelectric Acquires Teesside Site for Energy Storage Projects
Storelectric Teesside Ltd has acquired approximately 610 acres of land in Teesside for long duration energy storage initiatives. This acquisition supports the TeesCAES project, utilizing compressed air energy storage technology.

Storelectric Teesside Ltd has finalized the acquisition of about 550 acres of industrial land and 60 acres on Wilton International Site from SABIC UK Petrochemicals Ltd, as of July 24, 2026. The site, adjacent to the Seal Sands petrochemical cluster, is designated for the TeesCAES project under Ofgem's LDES Cap and Floor Scheme.
The acquisition also positions Storelectric for future energy projects, leveraging the site's geological advantages for large-scale storage and clean energy development.
