Strabag Romania to Develop Photovoltaic Park at Iași Airport
Strabag Romania has secured a contract valued at approximately RON 19.5 million for a photovoltaic park at Iași Airport, including energy storage. This project is significant for enhancing renewable energy capacity and resilience at the airport, leveraging high-efficiency photovoltaic technology.

Strabag Romania will construct a photovoltaic park and integrated energy storage system for Iași Airport, following a contract worth around RON 19.5 million. The project encompasses a design phase of three months and an execution phase of seven months.
The installation will feature approximately 7,552 monocrystalline photovoltaic modules with a total capacity of 4.42 MWp, supported by 21 string inverters with a 3.15 MW AC capacity. The energy storage system will offer a storage capacity of 4.73 MWh.
The installation will cover around 58,500 sqm and will integrate with the airport's existing electrical infrastructure. The project aims to improve energy efficiency and sustainability for the airport's operations.
