Stracon Secures $376 Million Financing for Chilean Copper Project
Stracon Group Holding has finalized $376 million in non-recourse financing for the Pérez Caldera copper project in Chile. This funding will support the construction and operation of tailings infrastructure at Anglo American's Los Bronces facility.

Stracon Group Holding has secured $376 million in non-recourse financing to develop dedicated tailings infrastructure at Anglo American's Los Bronces copper operation in Chile. The financing package includes $345 million in term loans and $31 million in debt service reserve letters of credit, with an interest rate linked to compounded daily Sofr plus a 3% margin, maturing on October 15, 2030.
This project features a debt-to-equity ratio of 82.75:17.25, aligning with Stracon's strategy of financing 75-85% of costs through non-recourse debt. The deal supports a long-term operations and maintenance contract awarded by Anglo American in December 2025, enhancing revenue and cash flow visibility for Stracon. Risks may arise from reliance on long-term contracts and the performance of the underlying project.
