Strata Investments Reports 13-Fold Profit Increase Driven by Copper Price Surge and NSR Valuation
Strata Investments, listed on the ASX, reported a 13-fold increase in operating profit to £8.1 million, fueled by rising copper prices and a revaluation of its net smelter royalty (NSR) over the A4 copper-silver project in Botswana. The NSR's value increased from £17.5 million to £21.2 million, contributing significantly to Strata's net asset value. Sandfire Resources is ramping up production at A4 and advancing the A1 deposit towards a maiden order reserve by year-end.

Strata Investments achieved a 13-fold increase in operating profit to £8.1 million, attributed to rising copper prices and the revaluation of its 2% uncapped net smelter royalty (NSR) over the A4 copper-silver project in Botswana's Kalahari Copper Belt. The NSR's valuation rose from £17.5 million to £21.2 million, accounting for about two-thirds of Strata's year-end net asset value. Sandfire Resources, valued at A$9.4 billion, is increasing production at the A4 project and advancing the nearby A1 deposit towards a maiden order reserve and pre-feasibility study by the end of the year.
