Stream Data Centers Initiates Demolition of Plug Power Facility for Data Center Project
Stream Data Centers has commenced demolition of the former Plug Power site at STAMP industrial park to enable a new data center. The project follows an acquisition from Plug Power, which resulted in proceeds exceeding $132.5 million.

Stream Data Centers has started the demolition of the former Plug Power facility at the STAMP industrial park, aimed at paving the way for a proposed air-cooled data center. The acquisition from Plug Power included the land, infrastructure, and certain substation-related assets for more than $132.5 million, while Plug Power had invested approximately $290 million in the nearly completed construction before halting work in early 2024.
Stream's development is pending regulatory and environmental reviews but plans to leverage existing infrastructure and power allocations. This demolition indicates the shift towards data center investments in the region, potentially impacting the local industrial landscape.
