SUEZ and Salinity Solutions Pilot Advanced Reverse Osmosis for Water Reuse in France
SUEZ and Salinity Solutions are conducting a pilot of Hybrid Batch Reverse Osmosis technology in Béziers, France, achieving water recovery rates of 90-95%. This initiative addresses water scarcity and promotes sustainable water reuse in municipal and industrial sectors.

The Hybrid Batch Reverse Osmosis (HBRO) pilot at the Béziers wastewater treatment facility, supported by ADEME, demonstrates significant advancements in municipal wastewater reuse. Utilizing Salinity Solutions' HyBatch™ technology, the system can recover 90-95% of treated water, exceeding conventional systems that reach up to 85%.
The facility operates at a capacity of 100 cubic meters per day and minimizes brine discharge, chemical usage, and energy costs. This project is critical as it addresses growing water scarcity linked to climate change and supports broader applications for surface and brackish water treatment. The outcomes may influence the adoption of energy-efficient water reuse solutions across multiple sectors.
