SUN Energy Expands Industrial Sustainability Solutions with Battery Storage and Integrated Energy Systems in Indonesia
SUN Energy is expanding its industrial sustainability solutions in Indonesia by introducing containerized battery storage systems and integrated energy systems, particularly in the mining sector. This initiative, the first of its kind in the country, aims to enhance renewable energy efficiency and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Additionally, SUN Energy plans to collaborate with industrial zones to improve electric vehicle infrastructure while continuing its commitment to clean energy projects, having already developed 240 MW of solar capacity in Indonesia.

SUN Energy is enhancing its industrial sustainability solutions by focusing on containerized battery storage and integrated energy systems. The company implemented containerized battery energy storage systems (CBESS) in Indonesia's mining sector in 2025, marking the first deployment of such systems in the country.
This initiative aims to improve renewable energy efficiency, reliability of power supply, and reduce fossil fuel reliance. As part of its expansion, SUN Energy plans to partner with industrial zones to develop integrated energy systems and enhance electric vehicle infrastructure.
The company has operated solar projects totaling 420 MW across four countries, generating over 650 million kWh of clean electricity. In Indonesia, SUN Energy has developed solar projects totaling 240 MW, focusing on industries such as cement and FMCG. The company aims to increase its role as an independent power producer while addressing challenges in emissions reduction and energy system integration.
