Sungrow Launches PowerTitan 3.0 and Hybrid Storage Solutions in Australia
Sungrow has launched its PowerTitan 3.0 energy storage system and hybrid solar-storage solutions in Australia, addressing the growing demand for large-scale battery deployment in the National Electricity Market. This move is significant as it aligns with federal and state support for utility-scale renewables and rising investor interest, particularly in projects that enhance grid stability amid increasing renewable penetration.

Sungrow has introduced the PowerTitan 3.0 energy storage system and a hybrid solar-storage solution in Australia to meet the demand for large-scale battery deployment. The PowerTitan 3.0 is designed for utility-scale projects, featuring an AC block design with 1.78 MW power conversion and 7.14 MWh of storage per container, and includes capabilities for four to eight-hour discharge durations.
The hybrid system combines photovoltaic generation with battery storage, utilizing both DC-coupled and AC-coupled configurations to enhance energy conversion efficiency by 3% to 5%. The company emphasizes rapid installation, with a 1 GWh project deployable in just 12 days. Sungrow is also addressing grid stability challenges as Australia transitions away from thermal generation.
