Sunwoda and EcoSourcen Complete Major Battery Storage Project in Belgium
Sunwoda and EcoSourcen have finished a 10MW/55MWh battery storage facility in Deinze, Belgium. This project addresses grid congestion due to increased renewable energy usage, demonstrating an effective model for energy storage deployment in the region.

Sunwoda and EcoSourcen have successfully completed a 10MW/55MWh battery energy storage project in Deinze, Belgium. This facility, one of the largest connected to the Fluvius distribution grid, serves to alleviate grid congestion from rising renewable energy contributions.
It consists of 11 units of Sunwoda's liquid cooling energy storage systems, allowing for five hours of continuous charge and discharge, facilitating load shifting during peak demand. The project was developed by EcoSourcen and financed by Patronale Life, emphasizing grid flexibility and scalable distribution-level energy storage. Collaboration between Sunwoda and EcoSourcen ensured compliance with local regulations, reinforcing Sunwoda's commitment to the European market.
