Sunwoda Launches 41.32 GWh Battery Project in Beijing with Significant Investments
Sunwoda has received environmental approval for a 5.367 billion yuan battery facility in Beijing's Shunyi district, with an annual capacity of 41.32 GWh. The project aims to enhance local battery production capabilities and reduce supply chain costs for regional automakers.

Sunwoda's new energy battery project in Shunyi, Beijing, will feature four lithium-ion cell production lines and four PACK assembly lines, reaching an annual capacity of 41.32 GWh. The facility, located in the Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Technology Eco-Park, is expected to generate approximately 9.5 billion yuan in output by 2030.
This initiative will help local manufacturers source power batteries more efficiently, improving competitiveness in the EV sector. Sunwoda EV Battery Technology Co., Ltd. plans to raise 1.68 billion yuan in a Series C funding round, increasing its registered capital to 14.09 billion yuan.
The capital will be used for expansion and debt reduction. Sunwoda currently holds a 2.72% market share in China's battery market.
